The Step Well isn’t located at the center of the town, but it is the central meeting location for town meetings. The deep cylindrical well has tiers all around it and a long, steep set of stairs that lead down from one side.
The deep well is ideal for getting a large number of people together because of the cooler temperatures below ground. The ornate stone carvings beautifully garnish a very functional and civic building (seen as a empty fountain from the street around it).
