The India Rayon in the background was a toxic smelling, dirty and important part of Veraval. Toxic because of the chemicals used, dirty because of lack of maintenance, and important because it provided 30% of the jobs in Veraval.
The open lot and stones stacked in the foreground were home to a lively game of cricket the day before this picture was taken.
The “Time of Day” series was created over a few weeks. This series of images started when I was decided to work on a little less architecture and a little more art. All of the photos used in this series were taken quite some time before the final image was designed.
