Project Description
Al Mansoura is a transit-oriented mixed-use project approximately 97,000 sqm. Residential, Hotel, Entertainment, Mall, and Market comprise the major uses located over Al Mansoura metro stop. This Qatar Rail Development at Al Mansoura site is a catalytic development in a developing part of the city. The objectives here were to connect to the existing fabric and to transit, and enhance the public realm with Place Making.
Designing four 12-story towers around or partially bridging over a metro station under construction was the biggest challenge for the team.
Project Role
As the Project Architect, I was in charge of overall consultant coordination (MEP, Parking, Structural). My Asst. PM duties included design presentations and internal staffing for PE’s multi-office, international design team. Working over multiple time zones with an engagement design team can create amazing projects with increased iteration and detail.
