There are many striking colors used in India, but some that get lost in the masses. These fishing boats in Veraval represent the handful of boats that are still in use for this fishing village. The harbor is packed with thousands of boats that can’t fish the Indian Ocean in this area anymore because of over-fishing.
I took this picture to break it down into sectors of color. There is a first version that shows an overlain grid which was used to create my own India Color Palette for Photoshop.
In the end, the grid was distracting to the beautiful colors, so this second version is the resulting art.
